I notice the URL contains the code %2F bumped up against some alphanumeric junk, just like the OP.
Have confirmed the crash does not occur in 2.14.1
Using 2.16.1 Ubuntu 22.04 Linux 5.19.0-40 generic.
Sounds like it's fixed in a newer version, but additional information just cause

It seems like these crashes only happen when using the default "Open Link in Browser" but not when using a custom URL handler?
